2023年2月下旬、休日を利用して直島へ旅してきました。久しぶりの旅行！２日目、その８。午前中は家プロジェクトを鑑賞して、フェリーで豊島へ渡ってランチ。腹ごしらえをした後は、有名な豊島美術館で展示されている内藤礼さんの作品を観に行くべく、自転車で山道を走ります。
In late February 2023, I traveled to Naoshima for a holiday. First trip in a long time! Day2. Episode 8. In the morning, we will view the Art House Project. We will take a ferry across to Teshima for lunch.After we have eaten, we ride our bicycles along the mountain roads to see Rei Naito's works on display at the famous Teshima Art Museum.

のどかな島の風景を眺めながら、自転車を漕いで行きます。

借りた自転車は電動なんですが、コントローラーの表示はバグってました。（ちゃんと動く）

豊島美術館すぐ手前の下り坂、人気のフォトスポットらしいです。
It is said to be a popular photo spot, downhill just before Teshima Art Museum.

受付 / Reception
ついに、来てみたかった豊島美術館に到着。
Finally, I arrived at the Teshima Art Museum, which I had hoped to visit.
敷地内をぐるりと歩いてから、有名な建物の中に入るようになっています。
Walk around the grounds and then enter the building.
鑑賞料金は、大人ひとり1,570円。※15歳以下無料
ネットで事前に予約する必要があるので、お気をつけを。
Admission is 1,570 yen per adult. *Free for ages 15 and under.You need to make a reservation in advance online.
長く穏やかなエントランス / Long and peaceful entrance
一滴の水が地上に最初に落ちた瞬間のような形を想起させる豊島美術館。広さ約40×60m、最高高さ4.5mの背の低いコンクリート・シェル構造の建物には柱が1本もなく、2つの開口部からは周辺の自然をダイレクトに取り込みます。敷地内の植栽は全て豊島内に自生する雑草群で構成され、棚田の風景を眺めながら美術館へとつながる遊歩道を巡ることで、土地が持つ美しい風景と歴史を感じることができます。（公式サイトより）
The droplet-shaped architecture of Teshima Art Museum was designed by architect Ryue Nishizawa.The structure measures about 40 meters by 60 meters, with a maximum height of 4.5 meters. It is a low concrete-shell structure without pillars or columns to support it. The surrounding nature directly ows through the two openings into its organic and horizontal interior space. All the plants used here are indigenous weeds growing on Teshima, so that the museum becomes part of the environment of the Karato area. Walking along the promenade leading to the museum, one can enjoy the beautiful view and learn about the history of the area.(From the official website)
いざ、入館 / Entering
ぐるりと歩いて、美術館への入り口に到着しました。このエントランス、入館する前のワクワクも良い物です。中に入るときは靴を脱いで、貸し出されるスリッパに履き替えます。中は撮影禁止。
We walked around and arrived at the entrance to the museum. The process leading to this entrance is exciting. Take off your shoes, change into the slippers that are lent to you, and enter the museum. No photography is allowed inside.
豊島美術館の「母型」は、一日を通して、いたるところから水が湧き出す「泉」です。ふたつの開口部からの光や風、鳥の声、時には雨や雪や虫たちとも連なり、響き合い、たえず無限の表情を鑑賞者に伝えます。静かに空間に身を置き、自然との融和を感じたとき、私たちは地上の生の喜びを感じることでしょう。 （公式サイトより）
In "Matrix" at Teshima Art Museum, water trickles out from the ground, here and there, throughout the day. As light, wind and the voices of birds ー on occasions also rain, snow, and bugs ー enter through the two openings and come in resonance with each other, an infinity of expressions are revealed as time passes. こちらは鑑賞後に撮った写真。中には30-40分程いたでしょうか。詳細は言えませんが、「ここでしか出来ない素晴らしい体験」がありました。
Here is a picture I took after the viewing. I think we were inside for about 30-40 minutes. I can't give you the details, but it was a "wonderful experience that you can only have here".
カフェ・ショップ豊島美術館ショップ / Café＆ShopShop
感動の余韻を味わうために、隣接されたカフェショップで一休み。
To savor the afterglow of the excitement, take a break at the adjacent café store.
こちらの建物には、ガラスの天窓がありました。宇宙船っぽい。
This building had a glass skylight. It looks like a spaceship.
さて、再び自転車で家浦港へと戻ります。つづく。
