2023年2月下旬、休日を利用して直島へ旅してきました。安藤忠雄氏による地中美術館や、西沢立衛氏による豊島美術館。行ってみたい美術館や作品が目白押し。久しぶりの旅行！その２。
In late February 2023, I traveled to Naoshima on a holiday. Chichu Art Museum by Tadao Ando and Teshima Art Museum by Ryue Nishizawa. There are many museums and works of art that I would like to visit. Episode 2.

04. フェリーで移動：高松港→直島（宮浦港）/ By ferry: Takamatsu Port→Naoshima (Miyaura Port)
04-1. 新しい船「あさひ」 / The new ferry "Asahi
高松港から直島行きのフェリーは、ひとり520円。往復割引もありますが、翌日発券分までですので、お気をつけを。
The ferry from Takamatsu Port to Naoshima costs 520 yen per person. Round-trip discounts are available, but only until the next day.
この日、乗船したフェリーは「あさひ」。2018年に就航したばかりの新しい船。
The ferry we boarded that day was the 「Asahi」, a new vessel that just entered service in 2018.
船内は天井が高いので、窮屈な印象がありません。窓も大きく、瀬戸内海の島々の風景を楽しむことができます。
The ship's interior has high ceilings, so it does not feel cramped. The windows are also large, allowing passengers to enjoy the scenery of the islands of the Seto Inland Sea.
進行方向の右側には、窓の方を向いたシートがありました。ここはお客さんに大人気で、早い段階で満席になっていました。
On the right side of the train in the direction of travel were seats facing the window. This area was very popular with customers and was full early on.
04-2. 窓から眺める瀬戸内の島々 / Setouchi islands viewed from a window
波が穏やかなので、揺れを感じることがありませんでした。のんびりとした船旅を楽しめます。
The waves were so calm that I never felt any turbulence.
女木島の南端を掠めました。
The ship snatches the southern tip of Megijima and proceeds.
高松港から40分ほど経過すると、直島が見えてきました。下の写真の中央に見えるのがベネッセミュージアムかな？
After about 40 minutes from Takamatsu Port, Naoshima Island came into view. Is that the Benesse Museum in the center of the photo below?
04-3 . 船内を散策
あと10分くらいで到着予定。船内を探検していなかったことを思い出して、慌ててデッキへと登ってみます。
We are about 10 minutes away. Remembering that I had not explored the ship, I rush up to the deck.
デッキの中央にもアート作品が。青空とのコントラストが美しい。
There was also artwork in the center of the deck. It contrasted beautifully with the blue sky.
遥かかなた向こうに見えるのが、瀬戸大橋。
The Seto Ohashi Bridge can be seen far beyond.
デッキでくつろぐ人もたくさんいました。船内とは違って、風がかなり強いのでお気をつけを。
There were many people relaxing on the deck. Unlike inside the ship, the wind is quite strong, so please be careful.
直島には東西に2ヶ所、港があります。高松港から到着するのは西側の家浦港。
There are two ports on Naoshima, one on the east and one on the west. The one arriving from Takamatsu Port is Ieura Port on the west side.
04-4. 下船 / Get off the ship
高松港から家浦港までかかった時間は50分。時刻表通りの到着でした。
It took 50 minutes from Takamatsu Port to Ieura Port. Arrival time was right on schedule.
草間彌生の作品「赤カボチャ」が見えてきました！直島に来たなぁ〜。
Yayoi Kusama's work "Red Pumpkin" is in sight! I feel like I've come to Naoshima.
下船時、歩行者用の通路は狭いので気をつけましょう。
When disembarking, be aware that the pedestrian walkways are narrow.
トラックやクレーン車など、大型の車両がガンガン降りてきます。フェリーの運搬力ってすごい。
Trucks, cranes, and other large vehicles come down. The carrying capacity of a ferry is amazing.
到着して早々に向かうのは、先ほどの赤カボチャ、、、ではなく！

The first thing I head for as soon as I arrive is the red pumpkin I mentioned earlier. It is not!
