【2023直島旅】⑤ 安藤忠雄氏による傑作の一つ、地中美術館へ（後編）

2023年2月下旬、休日を利用して直島へ旅してきました。久しぶりの旅行！その５。地中美術館を堪能した後は、館内にある「地中カフェ」で軽食をいただきました。

In late February 2023, I traveled to Naoshima for a holiday. First trip in a long time! Episode 5. After enjoying the Chichu Art Museum, We had a light meal at the Chichu Café inside the museum.

09. 地中カフェでくつろぐ / Relax in a subterranean café

店内のようす / Inside the store

入館して1.5時間ほど作品を鑑賞。いつまでも観ていることが出来そうな美しい作品群と、素晴らしい展示空間でした。（地中美術館は、作品エリアや土産店は撮影禁止。ですので、エントランスやカフェのみの写真になります。）

We spent 1.5 hours viewing the works. It was a wonderful exhibition space with beautiful works of art that I would have loved to spend all the time admiring. (Photography is basically prohibited at Chichu Art Museum. Only the entrance and café are open for photography.)

カフェラテ Café Latte (660 yen）

小腹が空いたので、「地中カフェ」で軽食をいただきます。マグカップを見ると、、、ミスプリント？と思いきや、美術館の構造を現しているのですのね。お土産店に売っていました。

We'll have a light meal at the "Chichu Cafe." I thought the mugs were misprints, but they are a representation of the museum's structure. It was sold at the souvenir store.

スモークサーモンのベーグルサンドイッチとカフェラテ / Bagel Sandwich with Smoked Salmon, with cafe latte（780 yen）

サーモンはもちろん、ベーグル自体もとても美味しかったです。

The bagel itself was very tasty, as well as the salmon.

照り焼きチキンのライスバーガー直島のり付き / Rice burger with teriyaki chicken and Naoshima seaweed （780 yen）

こちらは、程よい焼き加減のご飯で照り焼きチキンがサンドされています。美味しかった、、、！ご馳走様でした。

Just the right amount of cooked rice and a sweet and spicy teriyaki chicken sandwich. Delicious.

10. 地中美術館から海を眺める / View of the sea from Chichu Art Museum

カフェの奥から、外へ出ることができます。

I went out from the back of the cafe.

向こうに見えるのが、高松市の街並み。

The city of Takamatsu can be seen across the sea.

瀬戸内の美しい島々を眺めていると、あっという間に時間が過ぎていきます。

Time flies by as you gaze at the beautiful islands of the Seto Inland Sea.

11. 帰りたくない / Chichu Art Museum with a beautiful exit flow line

展示空間とカフェを含めて、2.5hほど滞在しました。名残惜しい気がしますが、明日も動き回る予定ですので、日没に合わせて退館します。

We stayed for about 2.5h, including the exhibition space and the cafe. We are sorry to leave, but we plan to have many more activities tomorrow. We will leave the museum at sunset.

ちょうど夕陽が当たって、コンクリートの壁面に木々の影がきれいに映っていました。ちなみに、ベネッセハウスに宿泊している人は、滞在期間中は再入館ができる特典があります。

The setting sun was creating beautiful shadows of trees on the concrete walls. By the way, those staying at Benesse House have the privilege of re-entry for the duration of their stay. It is a good deal.
